Instead, we will have a picnic outside and watch a movie in the teen room!  We will be watching "The Princess Bride."

*Don't forget about the sack lunch!*

(Parents:  you can pick up your children anytime between 3:30 and 4pm)

I hope you all can come!
God Bless,

[TeenMinistry] Huddle Groups -

Why is it hard to rely on Jesus in times of uncertainty?

This is a question we are discussing this Wednesday night.  Our Wednesday night Huddle groups are a vital part of the Lafayette Teen Ministry.  As we study scripture together, we are growing in our relationship with Christ, we are growing in our relationships with one another, and we are becoming what God is calling us to be!

TEENS - If you are a teen (entering 6th grade through high school), you are encouraged to be a part of our LTM Huddle Groups.  If you feel like you haven’t connected to the “youth group”, this is the place for you.  We spend the first part of our time together in worship and prayer and then break into groups with other teens in your age group.  You’ll spend time in The Word and see how it is very relevant to you and how Christ can really make a difference in your life – NOW!  Coming one time is good, coming occasionally is better, becoming a consistent part of a Huddle Group is best – you will become familiar with the others in your group and eventually be willing to open up and give back to the relationships – a little scary I know – but well worth it.  Imagine not having to go through hard times in your life alone or with others who do not share a faith in Christ.  If you’re not careful, you will actually have fun and enjoy coming J   School’s out, I know there are a lot of things to be doing but how about giving Huddle Groups and LTM a chance.

PARENTS – Our Wednesday night Huddle Groups have become the axis of our Lafayette Teen Ministry.  If your teens are or will become involved, chances are that they are forming (or will have the opportunity to form) positive relationships that will help them through the storms of the teen-age years.  We have dedicated adults who are forming relationships and mentoring them as a group and as individuals.  (If you would be interested in serving as a Huddle Group Leader, we will be reconfiguring our groups this Fall – so be praying about it now).
